Re: What exactly is "Character output size"?

Hello Kris,

Maximum Character Stream Size defines "Maximum size of a text stream (for

example: HTML, XML) that will be transferred to the application server". If  a text stream sent to the application server is greater than this limit, the  generation is stopped to protect the server and an error is  returned.

A temporary file (*.xml) is generated and when  size of the xml file is greater than the Web

Intelligence Processing Servers "Maximum Character Stream Size" setting, the error will be thrown.

You can increase the Maximum Character Stream Size  because the default is low

Increase this value in the Central Management Console  (CMC).

I hope this helps.

Cheers,

Fadoua
